i need at least 3 of me ...

Well, it would be convenient. . .
I have a bit of a dilemma which if anyone can offer any advice on, I would appreciate it. In a nutshell, should Danilo get a flu shot or not? I believe it is not a coincidence that he was a lot shakier after the TB test. Even though his pediatrician says it was a "non-event" and therefore an impossiblity. He was pretty shaky and more irritable for about a week. I am sure the flu shot would do the same thing, it might last longer, but if he were to get the flu, it would probably do the same thing and he would be sick at the same time. I posted the same question on the OMS email list. About half the people said their kids got the flu shot and nothing happened and about half said they wouldn't dare give their kids the flu shot. Most of their kids have already been diagnosed though and they are on some kind of therapy or medicine called IVIG. IVIG acts against the flu so they don't need the flu shot. Anyway, several people said "go with your gut". My gut says the shot will make him shaky. The question is, how long? If it's just a week, maybe we can deal with it. If it lasted a long time, it wouldn't be worth it. Of course, he's going to see Dr. Pranzatelli in late January and I'm trying to get him in to see Dr. Mitchell here at Childrens Hosital. Dr. Mitchell, by the way, is the local OMS specialist/neurologist. I emailed her and she said she would get Danilo in on priority if I can get him a referral from the insurance. Beverly at Dr. Feig's office is working on the referral. I just called her and she hasn't received anything back from Healthnet yet. She put it through as a second opinion.

Maria and Danilo have been using the Access Services bus to go to physical therapy these days. Maria really likes it.

I haven't heard anything from the school. Actually, I don't really want him to go right now because of the risk of getting the flu from the other kids. I haven't heard anything from CCS and that's ok too because his therapist at Childrens Hospital is really nice and really good. He did get his ankle braces, but I need to get him a pair of shoes that fit with the braces on so we really haven't used them yet. He has an appointment with the ophthalmologist next week. He has been refusing to wear his eye patch lately.

His lip is healed pretty much after stage diving off the bed and slamming his face into the floor and having to get 3 stitches. Things are ok at the moment....
